This image was captured just after dawn on a perfect dry season day in the Top End. The reflection and palette invoke a sense of serenity, the pelican appears regal and elegant. The moment was quickly over as the huge bird snatched up a fish and greedily gobbled it down – causing a general ruckus amongst the other birds nearby.
