The Speckled Forest Pit Viper is a master of camoflague and as such is only rarely encountered despite being widerspread accross much of the Amazon Basin. This individual was photographed during an expedition into a remote area of the Tagaeri-Taromenane Intangible Zone, Ecuador, in 2014.
