Rough-Scaled Death Adder
Acanthophis rugosus
Most adders of this species are an earthy grey colour, only the occasional individual is red, and very rarely as vibrantly as this one. Etienne photographed this individual near Batchelor in the build up of 2016. It remains the most colourful specimen we have ever encountered.
