Long-Tailed Finches

Long-tailed finches can be seen throughout the Top End, around Darwin they are most conspicous in the dry season when they are often seen eating grit and taking dust baths in freshly burnt areas. Though not as colourful as the more well-known Gouldian finch, the pastel colours of this species are incredibly beautiful.
