A Sunset with all the Frills
Chlamydosaurus kingii
Frill-neck lizards are an absolute joy to witness; few sights can rival the prehistoric majesty of their frilled threat display or the comedic value of watching their bipedal flight to the nearest tree. Today sadly, these lizards are not a common sight largely due to their susceptibility to cane toad toxin. This lizard has raised his head and frill as a warning to not come any closer, a perfect sunset encounter to end a day well spent in the Top End.
