Eurasian reed warbler
This bird is perched in the midstorey of a high elevation cloud forest, no doubt enjoying the sun in this cool environment.
A male Golden bowerbird carefully inspects his lavish bower, used as a stage to attract females.
So named for the meow-like call they are renowned for. An apt name for a beautiful rainforest bird.
This is a juvenile or female bird displaying the typical inquisitiveness of the species - wonderful birds!
Blue-faced parrot finch
This rare and elusive bird is a hard one to track down, at certain time of the year they can be seeing in high mountain clearings in the Wet Tropics of north Queensland, where this one was photographed.
A male Satin bowerbird carefully arranges the sticks that comprise his bower - a strucutre used as a backdrop to his enthusiastic dances, attempts to woo passing females.

A female - or juvenile male - Satin bowerbird, it is very hard to say which with certainty though I suspect female as the bill apperars to be more worn than I would expect for a juvenile bird.
