Equipment and technique

I use high-end canon gear for my photography including a full frame camera with a range of L series lenses. Most of my bird and mammal photography relies on super-telephoto lenses, this allows me to capture images from a distance without causing stress to animals. Most of my images of reptiles and other nocturnal creatures are generally captured with wide-angle lenses, this allows me to reveal some of their character through bringing a part of the immediate habitat these animals inhabit into my images. I utilise a range of support products such as Custom Brackets flash brackets, Gitzo and Induro tripods and tripod heads. I use F-stop packs to carry gear in the field and Pelican cases for travelling with gear.
